Scholarships have varying requirements, do not have to be repaid and can come from a variety of sources. We’ve listed a few but there are thousands out there so apply for as many as possible to improve your chances. See Financial Aid Links for scholarship search engine and search the web for MORE!
Student Financial Aid Scholarships
Odessa College annually awards more than $500,000 in academic scholarships to recognize scholastic merit. This is a partial list of the scholarships awarded through OC Student Financial Aid. Unless otherwise specified, students may apply for any of these scholarships with Awardspring. Students must reapply each spring for the next school year.

Other Campus Scholarships
The OC Foundation Office offers scholarships targeted at students who qualify for a limited amount of other financial assistance. For a list of scholarships, visit the OC Foundation Scholarships page.
*Scholarship eligibility depends on GPA, Financial Need, and Major. Please note that visiting students do not qualify for scholarships. You must have a major selected with Odessa College.
Departmental scholarships are offered through the art, social studies, music, nursing, photography, diesel and OSHA departments. Interested students should contact the department chair for information and application requirements. Athletic scholarships are awarded each year in baseball, basketball, golf, softball, athletic training, cheerleading, cross country, dance team and rodeo. Athletes should contact the coach for details. We are required to make available to students information regarding our athletic participants, coaching staff and athletic budget. *Also available is the Positively OC Presidential Scholarship.
The Positively OC Presidential Scholarship covers 2 semesters of tuition and fees at Odessa College, for those awarded. Positively OC Scholars serve as student leaders of the college, through their presence online, around campus, and in the classroom. Positively OC Scholarship recipients are afforded unique opportunities during their time at OC, including access to leadership workshops, public speaking opportunities, a community within the program, mentorship opportunities with OC staff, and more.

Non-Institutional Scholarships
These scholarships come from off-campus individuals and organizations. Student Financial Aid does not select or award these scholarships and only provides application information for the organization. These scholarships are offered yearly, so if the due date has passed, keep a lookout in the early spring for the new applications.
